Renting Storage During COVID-19
Renting Storage During COVID-19
It’s a sad fact of life during the COVID-19 pandemic that we need to keep social distancing, and that means most of you will be staying home and not going out in your RVs, not until it’s safe to do so again. We don’t know how long that will be either. It may not be truly safe again until a vaccine is approved.
While this can be a difficult time, we know you can handle it! Enjoy hobbies you can do at home. Take a walk, maintaining that social distance, and take care of yourself and those you’re sheltering with.
You may also need a place to store your boat or RV, and we’re here to help. Not only do we provide the storage, but with RV Storage Depot, you can also sign up for it online, park in your new spot at our McClellan Park, Norwalk, or Santa Ana facility, and not have to get within six feet of another person.
Renting Your Spot Online
To rent a great spot for your RV, go to the main page on our website, click on Storage Locations, and select the facility of your choice.
There, you’ll find a list of available spots. We have indoor valet and outdoor valet parking. The advantage of indoor spots is that your vehicle will be completely protected from weather conditions such as rain and sunlight. If you use an outdoor spot, we encourage you to have some sort of cover for your vehicle, or for you to get it waxed. Outdoor spots, however, do cost less.
Select Your Space
Once you’ve decided what type of space you’re going to rent, click the “Select” button beside it. That will bring you to a page where you can reserve or rent the spot immediately.
At this time, we recommend simply renting the spot, which will allow you to get it without having to work face-to-face with another person. While in ordinary times we’d feel great about you coming in and seeing us, we want to make sure everyone is as safe as possible.
Rent Your Space
Click on the “Save More & Rent Now” button. That will bring you to a page that says “Rent Online Today,” and a form to fill out. This will show your total move-in cost on the right as well.
You’ll fill in your personal information, secondary contact information if you have one, whether you’re an active military member, your vehicle information, and the credit card or bank card you’ll use to pay. From there, you’ll sign the agreement virtually.
Move In
Finally, you’ll get a confirmation email including the date you can move in, which should be the very next day. This should also include your gate code. You’re all set to bring your RV or boat in when you’re ready!
When you’re here, there may be other people bringing in or picking up their vehicles as well, or employees on the grounds. Simply maintain that six-foot distance. For your safety, and the safety of everyone else, if you have a breathing mask, wear that as well. We all want to get through this pandemic with as few people sick as possible while providing you with the convenience to safely store your vehicle.
